Invasive species are species who invade a location that is not native to them. people should care about these organisms, because these species take over habitats that effects the native species. some of the species that have studied are the cane toad, tiger fish, and burmese python. the cane toad is native to central america, but is residing in australia. the tiger fish is native to africa, but has been introduced to various rivers. the burmese python is native to areas in asia, but has been introduced to other areas. some management technique that has been used to control invasive species is mechanical (where machines are used), mowing and grazing, and chemical techniques. |
